Environmental Science Project
You have been asked to research an environmental topic of your choice. Once you have chosen your topic you will need to write a research question which will guide your information seeking process. Examples of good research questions are: What impact does the continued use of fossil fuels have on the environment? Is my air quality affected because I live within a mile from O'Hare Airport? Does the wind turbine at the Great Escape provide any benefits to my community?
Your topic can be about, but is not limited to, the following: Non-Renewable Energy (Coal, Oil, Natural Gas) Renewable/Alternative Energy (Wind, Solar, Biomass, Water, Geothermal, Biofuels), Recycling (E-Waste, Batteries, Tires, Oil, Glass, Plastic, Paper...) Going Green, Global Warming.
Your final product can be presented as a video (public service announcement, news broadcast, talk show, and interview) digital story, publication, or website. Below are an example of a digital story Public Service Announcement and Informational Video.
